THIS WEEK

...is Spirit Week - check your email from Stella Williamson. Staff Calendar has the daily themes...

Welcome (formerly called the “Discipline”) Assembly on Tuesday, September 3rd, during PE classes:
The purpose is to teach kids about PBIS school wide behaviors, PBIS Cougar Credit, Cougar Store and safety procedures. All staff should be very clear and “on the same page” with what is presented to students at the Welcome Assembly. Please review the slides.

... and here is the Emergency Procedures for All (in CMS 19-20>Emergency Procedures for All):

PBIS Rewards
Starting today, please be ready to deliver on the promise to assign points with PBIS Rewards.
The students have been taught that if they follow these expectations, they will earn Cougar Credits to spend at the Cougar Store.
Everyone needs to follow through on this for them!

  • All class rosters are updated for teachers to assign PBIS Rewards to their students.
  • All teachers and support staff have been assigned PBIS Awards user privileges.
  • Download “PBIS Rewards for Staff” to assign points - using your phone camera as a scanner! - with a mobile device.
  • If you need help, please tell admin! Click here to get started with PBIS Rewards.

PBIS Rewards can positively recognize students when they:

  • Be Safe
  • Be Respectful
  • Be Responsible
  • Wear Their ID and Lanyard
  • Use Clean + Positive Language
  • Are Ready for Success

Student(s) of the Month
ALL teachers and staff will select a student of the month. The COUGAR CODE traits will be highlighted each month.

In our CMS 19-20 > Admin Info for Staff > Student of the Month Info 19-20, staff can access the traits for each month, deadlines and a spreadsheet to enter names.

Awards for students from EACH TEACHER will be given monthly!

Agenda Plan 2019-2020
Week 2, September 4th, 5th or 6th:
  1. English teachers review pledges (pages 4, and 16) and give Cougar Credit for students who return it signed by their parent.
  2. English teachers review the CMS Emergency Procedures for All. Students will keep Emergency Procedures in their agendas
  3. English Teachers will use this presentation to facilitate the process. All staff, please review to ensure again that we are all “on the same page” with the Agenda expectations for students!
  4. English teachers can use these slides to review the agenda and have students complete the survey. Please make a copy and make it your own!

Week 3:
In 4th period after students finish MAP:
  1. Add in their teacher’s info on page 3
  2. Write their Goals for Quarter 1 on page 21
  3. Add ELA and Math MAP score on page 32

Admin Walkthroughs Starting this week. We will visit each teacher at least once a month and are super excited to see the great work happening in every classroom!
