“It cannot be overstated,” says Fisher and Frey, “learners need a host of experiences with rich informational texts and a sliding scale of scaffolds and supports to access the information contained in them.” 

This outstanding teacher is using  using meaningful and varied repetition and review to teach math vocabulary!


These students are being taught vocabulary in D201 using visual representations of key terms in math!!

Student of the Month - ORGANIZED
The Cougar Code Student of the Month for being Organized is due from each teacher by Friday. Please enter names in to the spreadsheet! Teachers will get something like this postcard above to share your nomination with parents/students. At the end of the month, the office will mail it home.

Please remember that sub plans are due to your department chair on Tuesday. Please share a copy with Kiana as well.

ASD will start this week on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Please look for the sign up sheet and sign up!

Sports schedules for Volleyball, Football and Cross Country have been postponed two weeks to ensure all teams have coaches and participants with sports physicals on file. Supervision of games are available for adjunct and are on our Staff Calendar. Please sign up - it’s great to have staff at our home games!

Class Changes are done and classes are now balanced per the FSUTA contract. As a result, many students will have new schedules starting Monday. Going forward, no schedule changes will be made without routing this form!!
