Safety:
  • AED Training Memo: Crystal Middle School has an AED on campus.  It is located in the Nurse’s Office. 
  • A memo will be sent to you explaining it's use. Please read it.
Curriculum:

Master Schedule:
  • All changes have been made. Many Students in Special Education schedules' have changed schedules since the start of the year. IEP's at a Glance will go back out for all Students in Special Education.

PBIS Rewards:
  • 1st Period Monday and Wednesday: Teachers: teach kids how to check their points.
  • All teachers must give points to students that are on time to 2nd and 5th period (for 7/8th graders)... 1st and 4th (for 6th graders) 
  • Weekly reward for students on Friday is to go to lunch 10 minutes early... students with 8 points for being on time will earn this. 
  • OK to give points for other behaviors, but those will not count for early lunch. They can be used in the Cougar Store.
  • No tickets are allowed at the store. Only points.
Community Engagement:
  • Principal for the Day is Dave McCallum from KUIC. Dave will be on campus as our Principal for the Day on Wednesday, September 19th. from 9:30 to 11:30.

Department Chair Meeting Rather than pull Department Chairs in to a meeting to look at our data, all Department Chairs will receive a binder/packet with our school's data to review, reflect and share with their respective department members. All data tells a story, and ours does too. Please see your Department Chair to find out more. Please note, our Faculty Meeting for January is on Tuesday, January 30th. Upcoming TEAM Workshop on LGBT/SSOGIE on Wednesday at 3:30 in the Grange Library.  T.E.A.M. workshops are designed to bring caregivers, families and staff together as we support students throughout the school year. Meetings are once a month and qualify for salary credit or buyback hours for those that attend. For staff, meetings run from 3:30 to 5pm. A second session for families/caregivers will be on the same dates from 6 to 8pm. Wednesday is the End of the Semester The aeries grading window is open!   It closes next  Thursday, 12/21/17, at 3pm. Updates from our Community Liaison, Dave Knott: Crystal will hold a Information Assembly in each gym class featuring guest speakers from throughout the community.Our guest speakers will be: Michael Moffat, Senior District Director, Boy Scouts of America, Troop 100 2.
