The Master Schedule is Set!

Thanks to genius, creativity and teamwork our Master Schedule is now set with balanced classes and no overages. As a result of collapsing a few classes and "blocking" one of Tracy Williams' classes into a History/ELA, we are very full in seventh grade going forward.

An InTouch phone call yesterday to all families stated: "all 7th and 8th grade students will need to start school Monday by going to the Snack Bar lines to pick up a reprinted schedule because class size consolidation has caused some changes to more than a handful of students. Please plan to arrive to school a little early to avoid confusion."

Title 1 Updates:

We are a "Comprehensive Support" Title 1 school now, which means the interventions we select can be used for all students. We have approximately $311,000 in Title 1 funds which, according to our SPSA, will be used to fund our 1.0 FTE Mental Health Clinician (Kim Holland), our Community Liaison, Mr. David Knott, our 1.0 FTE Academic Support Teacher position (open until filled) and about $60 - $70K available for interventions that are being considered, with more info to follow.

*Note: On the night before BTSN at 4:30 in the MPR, we will present our annual Title 1 Parent Meeting. The information to be presented can be found here.

Back to School Night

is this Wednesday, August 30th. Board Member and President Judi Honeychurch is scheduled to attend. She is assigned to our school this year.

IEP's at a Glance

The IEP at a Glance and the Accommodations for students rostered to general ed teachers has been sent via email. CC'd on the email are all the teachers currently on the student's roster and the case manager (RSP teacher for the student). If there is no RSP teacher on the email, the case manager is the Vacant RSP position on our site. Nevertheless, please let the case manager (or admin) know if you have any questions about how to follow the IEP or provide accommodations to the student while he/she is in your classroom.

2016/2017 CAASPP Scores

The State has announced a tentative date of August 29th to release the scores to the public, but the district has seen times that date gets pushed back. You should be able to view these scores in Illuminate. Nevertheless, the district is requesting us to please not release any scores until it is confirmed they have been released to the public by the California Department of Education. This most likely will not be an issue for you during your BTSN presentation, but if it is, be advised.
