School Site Council will Review the Single Plan for Student Achievement
The SSC will hear new ideas for improving student achievement. The significant changes between last year and this year's SPSA are recorded on this document called an "Executive Summary". Note, these are "unofficial" pending approval from the SSC, Ed Services, and the FSUSD Board.
SPSA Goal Setting
Within the SPSA. there are "metrics" designed to improve academic achievement. Here are the goals CMS Admin is recommending:
Smarter Balance Math Performance- Average Scaled Score from "Meets Standards" level
- Current: All Students - 17% of 720 Students, Goal: Target 60 students and increase 8.3%
- English learners - 0% of 68 students, Goal: Target 20 students and increase 29.4%
- Foster Youth - Not statistically significant
- Homeless - Not statistically significant
- Socio-economically Disadvantaged - 14% of 559 students, Goal: Target 60 students and increase 10.7%
- Students with Disabilities - 4% of 130 students, Goal: Target 30 students and increase 23%

- All Students - 29% of 720 Students, Goal: Target 60 students and increase 8.3%
- English learners - 0% of 68 students, Goal: Target 20 students and increase 29.4%
- Foster Youth - Not statistically significant
- Homeless - Not statistically significant
- Socio-economically Disadvantaged - 25%
- Students with Disabilities - 6% of of 130 studnets, Target 30 and increase 23%
MAP Stretch Goal Math:
- Current Year: 258/750 met stretch goal = 34.4%, Target 90 students and increase to 46%
- MAP Stretch Goal Reading: 325/750 = 50%, Target 90 students and increase to 55%
English Learner Reclassification Rates:
- Current Year: 7 out of 74 reclassified = 9.46%, Target 25 (25 out of 67 = 37.3%

- "Special" Department Chair Meeting - Tuesday, April 9th from 3:15 to 4:15. All Invited to discuss Campus Climate and Conduct.
- SSC Meeting in the Library - Wednesday, April 10th at 3:30
- Bike Mobile Coming to CMS - Wednesday, April 10th from 3pm to 6pm
- Safety Inspection by Suisun City Fire (they do all sites & it is our turn) - 4/11/19
- UC Davis College & Career Field Trip - Thursday, 4/12
- PTA Meeting - Thursday, 4/12 at 3:30
- Soccer - Grange at Crystal Thursday at 3:45pm
The grading window for the 2nd Semester Progress Report #2 is now open. It closes Monday, April 15th at 4pm.
