We Did It!
Thank you for a great year! We really held on together to make this year positive and productive. Looking back, there were lots of milestones, and through it all, the Crystal Staff proved once again how awesome they really are, going the extra mile for students and families to the very end... Thank you to all and to Cougar Staff moving on: Angel, Katelyn, Mitch, Nicole, Michelle, Rica, Matt, Tracy and Mickey. Thank you to our subs that helped tremendously: Carl Baynard, Elaine Faucett, Arionna Morris, Janae Guess, Melissa Boroquez and John McMorris.

UDL Conference
CMS Department Chairs and Admin will be attending the UDL (Universal Design for Learning) next week. The training will provide the research basis for UDL, practical application of UDL to lesson design, and helpful technology tools that support flexible and inclusive instruction. CMS Leaders attending this training will use it to develop lesson plan templates, and vis a vis, share UDL knowledge within their respective department next year.


Summer Site Walks
Due to all the construction and maintenance happening around the district, the annual Superintendent Summer Site Walks will not be taking place this year.
Orientation - August 15th
The plan is for the annual Orientation to be different next year. Rather than limiting the event to incoming 6th graders, we are planning to open up the event to all grade levels to attend (at tiered intervals throughout the day) to pick up schedules, check out new Chromebooks and purchase PE uniforms and the traditional offerings of 6th Grade Orientations of the past. More details will be communicated in August.

Last Day
The last day on campus for CMS Admin and Kiana will be June 28th. The first day back for Jay to be on campus will be August 1st.


Be Advised!
Our parking lot gates have gone in to effect. If you are here on campus over the summer still working, don’t stay after a custodian has let you know it’s time to go!

The CMS Staff Handbook will have updates made over the summer to get ready for the 2019 2020 school year. Here is the official link!

Department Chair Meeting Rather than pull Department Chairs in to a meeting to look at our data, all Department Chairs will receive a binder/packet with our school's data to review, reflect and share with their respective department members. All data tells a story, and ours does too. Please see your Department Chair to find out more. Please note, our Faculty Meeting for January is on Tuesday, January 30th. Upcoming TEAM Workshop on LGBT/SSOGIE on Wednesday at 3:30 in the Grange Library.  T.E.A.M. workshops are designed to bring caregivers, families and staff together as we support students throughout the school year. Meetings are once a month and qualify for salary credit or buyback hours for those that attend. For staff, meetings run from 3:30 to 5pm. A second session for families/caregivers will be on the same dates from 6 to 8pm. Wednesday is the End of the Semester The aeries grading window is open!   It closes next  Thursday, 12/21/17, at 3pm.
