March 18 to 22

Duty Stations
Teachers, please be on time to your duty stations. If you can not be at your duty station, it is your responsibility to find a substitute for yourself. Please let admin know if there are any reasons you can't be on time to your duty. We must always provide adequate supervision for our student to ensure a safe campus. Duty Assignments can be found here.

Passing Periods
In addition, Teachers, please be at your door greeting students and supervising the walkways during passing period. To keep our school safe, we need to be at our doors during all passing periods!  Thank you to Mr. Blaylock, Ms. Molina, Mr. Mulks, Ms. Solomon, and the PE department for doing this regularly. Let's all make this a very good habit!

'Tis the Season: Class Party Guidelines
Is it time to acknowledge positive behaviors in your class. Great!! However, teachers must remember the following guidelines for hosting celebrations:

Keep documentation on file for proof of compliance
Remember, classroom celebrations must comply with the district's Wellness Policy.

Master Plan Updates for Crystal
The district is in the process of receiving input from stakeholders to prioritize future facilities projects.  Crystal Middle School is one of the newer schools in the district.  We are grateful for our beautiful facility.  A field upgrade has been identified as the only future priority for our facilities.  If you have other ideas regarding a future priority for facilities at Crystal, please provide me with your input.  We will share your feedback with our facilities department which is compiling the entire updated Facilities Master Plan.

CAASPP Testing
The following letter is being sent out to families in English and Spanish. Please reiterate to your students (especially 4th period!) that that they come to school April 23th through May 2nd with a good night’s sleep, a healthy breakfast, and a positive attitude helps. Our letter requests that parents do not make any doctor or dentist appointments during the testing. The letter to be sent home can be found here.
