Title 1 Program Continuing This Week: Literacy Training with Sara Veloz: Improving Student Performance in ELA
Grade 6 & 7 ELA teachers will need to bring their TEs for Springboard Training.
Title 1 Funded Release Time: Looking at Benchmark 1 MAP Data in ELA & Math
This Tuesday and Wednesday all core Math and ELA teacher teams will have a 1/2 day to examine MAP data, access all the features available from NWEA and generate reports and data for improving instruction, communicating with parents, and making decisions about students in need of intervention. Heidi will have the final copy of the substitues' schedule to refer to. Please be sure to bring your device!
Human Resources Updates:
- Thursday, November 16th is Jeanne's LAST day - We will MISS YOU!! Congratulations on your retirement!!
- Our Cal SOAP / Solano County Educational Consortium Tutor, Saeed, is starting this week. He is one of two tutors for our site (the other is yet to be assigned). They will be working primarily in Math and English Lab classes to help our students pursue and prepare for college.
- All middle schools with an elective wheel for 6th grade have the same headache: per the Solano County Office of Education, the Wheel teachers need a GELAP credential. Marie Mattias will be on campus this Wednesday to help guide next steps.

- This week is School Psychologist Week! - We are so fortunate to welcome Marielle Mayorga back to Crystal. She has stepped in and made sure all cases are covered.
- The second required meeting this month will be Department Meetings to be held on Tuesday, November 28th.
Upcoming TEAM Workshop on Grief and Loss on November 15, 2017 in the Crystal Library.
This opportunity has been extended to staff working with 7th and 8th graders enrolled in the district. We may have a lot more in attendance than before.
