November 26 to November 30

Welcome New Staff - Mr. Edward (Ed) Fee is our newest certificated staff member! Mr. Fee is teaching RSP and will take over the line left by Michaela Meeter. Ed has a lot of family history, both current and long standing, in the district. Be sure to ask him about his connection to the CMS Library. Welcome Ed Fee!

Joining the CMS Admin Team again is John McMorris. He is taking over Krista's admin duties. He did a great job when Monifa was out on maternity leave. Welcome back McMorris!

The Campus Looks Great! - Over the break, Joe G. and the custodial team did a nice job sprucing up the classrooms and grounds. Our school looks great! In addition, thanks to FSUSD M/O, we have a new floor in Room E204! The position for the 1.0 FTE in that classroom for Science is still open on Edjoin, fyi.

Bring A Treat is Now... Thankful Friday at La Cabana - Ms. Spinelli will announce the details. We have so much to be thankful for!

Thanksgiving is Caring...Also, the Butte County Superintendent is seeking support for teachers and students affected by the fire. Please consider offering your support with a letter writing campaign. The Superintendent is eager to share your support on the WALL for Butte County Strong! Send your work to the office and we will ensure it makes it up on the WALL.

Check out our Website! - We have done some remodeling with the tabs updated for our Counseling Department and Clubs. We are hoping to make it more user friendly for all. Please continue to check back frequently!

PBIS Rewards - Our key to promoting what we want from students!
To improve attendance - remember to give a point to every student that is on time to every period. We have daily, weekly and monthly incentives to improve all students’ attendance and we need EVERYONE to award points.

To come prepared with a charged Chromebook - raise engagement and promote personal responsibility with frequent points for students with charged and ready CB’s

To demonstrate our theme of the month - RESPECT. Students that refrain from using foul language should be rewarded for being respectful. Please help to recognizer proper conduct by awarding points and confronting students that use foul language and noting for them that foul language is no way to earn respect.
