The Beyond Differences Student Service Organization put on a fun NO ONE EATS ALONE event at both A & B Lunch. Our NO ONE EATS ALONE event featured a mixed genre of music and spoken words of Kindness quotes from more than 30 students.  Our event opened to the song “Summer Love” a R&B pops song and remix from the Japanese Anime theme Spirit Away by Miyazaki and new release by Courtney Knott.   Then, a cadre of Beyond Differences club members walked amongst our Cougar students giving them a piece of candy (pencils) and fist pump saying: “You are not alone.”  Cougars read kindness quotes and were recipients of the BD wrist band. Thank you Beyond Differences working together to make the event happen. That’s CrackerJack! It was a great day to be a Cougar! ELPAC testing starts next week! This Week is the Great Kindness Challenge Addressing Period Tardies: Our January SMART Goal: By January 30th, reduce the number of students with 10 or more tardies to under 100 students (not counting 1st period) Month Students with 10 or More Tardies January 27 (as of 1/21/20) December 92 November  54 October 115 As you can see, we are on track to meet our SMART goal…. More good news in January. Our referrals are down... Curiously, our Cougar Credit points given to students are down as well... The kids are responding with better behavior. We just need to keep up the positive praise! If we continue to promote positive behavior (giving points), we can assume that there will be fewer referrals and fewer tardies!!
