Welcome Back from Thanksgiving Crystal Middle School Cougars!


Mark 2 Grading Breakdown: Thank You All That Got Your Grades By The Deadline! Here is a breakdown of our grades, by department, for Mark 1 and Mark 2. The end of the first semester (Mark 3) is January 17th, 2020!!
















California Healthy Kids’ Survey Coming Up
The CHKS is an online survey our 7th GRADERS (only) will access while they are at school. A schedule will be sent out to ensure that all 7th graders take the survey. Permission slips were sent home at the beginning of the year, however, a parent may actively decline in writing. 
CMS Staff and CMS Parents will also take the CHKS. More information will be forthcoming at faculty meetings and the parent weekly email.
The survey asks about: demographics, school supports/performance/engagement, school violence/victims/safety, alcohol and other drug use, tobacco use, mental health risks, and more. The survey results are completetely anonymous and are included in our SPSA.

Wednesday: All MS Boys Scrimmage at Grange Crystal Middle School at 4pm ** Adjunct Opportunity!
Thursday: PTA/Parent Engagement Meeting, All MS Girls Scrimmage at Crystal Grange
Friday: Fire Drill
All Week: ASB Toys for Tots Drive!!

Department Chair Meeting Rather than pull Department Chairs in to a meeting to look at our data, all Department Chairs will receive a binder/packet with our school's data to review, reflect and share with their respective department members. All data tells a story, and ours does too. Please see your Department Chair to find out more. Please note, our Faculty Meeting for January is on Tuesday, January 30th. Upcoming TEAM Workshop on LGBT/SSOGIE on Wednesday at 3:30 in the Grange Library.  T.E.A.M. workshops are designed to bring caregivers, families and staff together as we support students throughout the school year. Meetings are once a month and qualify for salary credit or buyback hours for those that attend. For staff, meetings run from 3:30 to 5pm. A second session for families/caregivers will be on the same dates from 6 to 8pm. Wednesday is the End of the Semester The aeries grading window is open!   It closes next  Thursday, 12/21/17, at 3pm. Updates from our Community Liaison, Dave Knott: Crystal will hold a Information Assembly in each gym class featuring guest speakers from throughout the community.Our guest speakers will be: Michael Moffat, Senior District Director, Boy Scouts of America, Troop 100 2. Andre W. Davis, Commissioner, Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention, The Building 3. Marvin Mora, Recreation Supervisor, City of Suisun Recreation & Community Services Department 4.
