"Distance from Level 3" is a Dashboard methodology that provides a more precise measure of a school or district's progress and describes how far (or the distance) each student is from the Level 3 (i.e., Standard Met) on the Smarter Balanced Assessments, or CAASPP

The # of English Learners' Increasing Distance From Level 3 is Growing:

The # of Overall Students Distance From Level 3 is growing slightly in Reading, as a result of this year's MAP scores:

The # of Overall Students from Level 3 is growing slightly in Math, as a result of this year's MAP scores:

This data tells us what our students will become on this year's CAASPP and it is not too late to do something about it. At the February Faculty Meeting, we asked ourselves, "What do we do?" Consider our responses to improve student outcomes. Between now and the end of the school year, let each of us redouble our efforts for our students. At the April Faculty Meeting, we will ask ourselves, "What Must We Become?"
